He obtained his medical degree from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences.  His residency was completed at the Syracuse Upstate Medical University with rotations at the University of Miami and Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  He was then appointed as the Chief of Radiation Oncology at the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY where he also served as the Chairman of the CME planning committee, physician liaison of the cancer committee as well as co-investigator in head and neck cancer protocols.  He was also appointed as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albany Medical College.  In 2006, he was recruited by the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center of the Miller School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology.
