Biography
Dr. Yang joined the department of Radiation Oncology as an Assistant Professor in 2015 after completion of his medical physics residency training at the University of Washington Medical Center. His research interests center on improving the treatment outcome in patients undergoing radiation therapy, mainly through the application of quantitative imaging, inferential statistics, and medical informatics. Dr. Yang is the author of over 20 peer reviewed manuscripts and has presented over 30 abstracts at national meetings. He holds patents and software copyrights deriving from his research, and also is a reviewer for the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, and PLoS ONE.
